After the huge success of The 2011 MJMF klezmer contra dance, Berlin's "Klezmer Clarinet Superstar" (Toronto Star) invites you to yet another barnburner. Joined by some of Montreal's finest klezmer musicians and two exceptional dance callers, Christian Dawid leads through a night of all Yiddish dance music. Half Yiddish Tantshoyz, and half contra dance, this event will get you up on your feet. Celebrate an exciting meeting of the cultures, by dancing or just listening. Christian Dawid has performed with ensembles and artists such as the Other Europeans, Brave Old World, Budowitz, Frank London, Boban Markovic, Theodore Bikel and Shura Lipovsky. He also leads and produces the Ukrainian Hipster brass band, Konsonans Retro.
