Montreal’s mother of Yiddish folksong, Abby Rosenblatt, offers up a stellar array of classic and not so classic material performed with sincerity and humour. Abby’s sparkling vocal clarity will leave audiences captivated as she leads them through heartfelt renditions of Yiddish lullabies, rousing bluegrass treatments of holiday songs and klezmer arrangements of wedding standards. Backed by some of Montreal’s top bluegrass musicians, her performance will have audiences of young and old pulling out the hankies and dancing in the aisles.
